Why we come and look before quoting
A four-bedroom house in EN4 and a four-bedroom house in N9 are not the same job. Conversions of old buildings throw up a particular cleaning problem: modern finishes installed inside a period shell, so a single house contains both a matt kitchen that marks if you look at it and original stonework that needs an entirely different approach.
Where there has been work done, our after builders clean here is almost always a two-day job — fine dust in a large house with three floors and a stairwell travels further and settles more slowly than anywhere else we work.
Regular cleaning at this size
A house of this scale is not cleaned properly in three hours a week by one person, and any quote that suggests it will be is telling you something about what will get skipped. We are straight about the hours a house actually needs, and we would rather send two people for half a day than one person for a day that ends with the top floor untouched.

Why do you want to visit before giving a price?
Because at this size a bedroom count tells us very little. Reception rooms, bathrooms, a conservatory, a converted garage and a loft room change the job completely. Twenty minutes looking means the quote is the price, and that we send the right number of people.
How many cleaners will you send?
As many as the house needs to be finished properly in the time booked. For a large EN4 house that is usually a team rather than one person — a single cleaner for a full day in a three-storey house means the top floor gets whatever time is left, which is never enough.
Do you handle houses with both modern and period finishes?
Yes, and the conversions around Trent Park are exactly that. Matt kitchen units and original stonework in the same house need different products, and using one on the other is how permanent marks happen.
How far is Cockfosters from you?
