Cleaning Services in Canary Wharf
E14 is vertical. Almost everything we clean here is an apartment in a tower with a concierge, a goods lift and a set of rules — and the rules matter more to how the day goes than the drive from Enfield does.
Floor-to-ceiling glass is the whole apartment
In a tower the windows are the walls, and they are the first thing anyone judges. On a high floor they are also the one thing that cannot be done from outside except by the building's own contractor on a cradle, so what we can reach is the inside face, the frames, the tracks and the balcony door threshold where grit collects.
We say plainly what is inside our reach and what is not, rather than quoting for glass and then explaining on the day. Inside the flat, the same glass means marks show: an apartment cleaned with a general-purpose spray looks worse in low winter sun than one cleaned with nothing but water and a proper blade.
Corporate lets turn over on a date somebody has already promised
A large share of E14 flats are let to people moved here by an employer, often for six or twelve months, and the handover date is in a relocation contract before anyone books a cleaner. The inventory is usually done by a clerk who works to a written schedule, and deductions come out of a deposit the tenant never sees.
That is exactly the job our end of tenancy clean is built for: oven included, inside the appliances, inside the wardrobes, and finished before the clerk arrives rather than while they are waiting.
The building lets you in, or it does not
Nearly every block here wants the cleaner's name in advance, sends deliveries through a service entrance, limits the loading bay to twenty or thirty minutes and expects the goods lift to be booked. Some will not allow a contractor in without a resident present, and most keep a list at the desk of who is expected that day.
Tell us your building's rules when you book. It is not paperwork for its own sake — it is the difference between starting at nine and standing at a desk until half past ten. We send the same names each time, so after the first visit the front desk is not meeting a stranger.

Questions we are asked most
Do you clean the outside of the windows?
Not above ground level, and nobody honest will tell you otherwise in a tower — external glass on a high floor is done by the building's own contractor from a cradle. We clean the inside face, the frames, the tracks and the balcony doors, and balconies themselves where access is safe.
Does someone have to be at home to let us in?
That is your building's rule rather than ours, and it varies block to block. Some concierges will release a key or a fob against a written instruction from the resident; others will not let anyone in unless you are there. Ask the desk before you book and tell us the answer, because it decides whether an early start is possible.
Can you finish before the inventory clerk arrives?
Yes, if we know the appointment when you book. Give us the clerk's time and we start early enough to be finished and out, because a clerk who has to walk around a cleaner writes a worse report.
Is Canary Wharf inside the Congestion Charge zone?
No. The zone stops well to the west of E14, so there is no charge on a job here. What does affect the timing is the Blackwall Tunnel approach, which is why we book E14 for early starts.
Other things we clean
Handing back an apartment in E14?
Send the block, the floor and the inventory appointment. We will be finished before it.
