A whole house is a different job from a flat of the same size
Three or four floors, a staircase that is the busiest surface in the building, a kitchen that opens onto a garden and gets walked through all day, and children. Questions we are asked most
How often should a family house be cleaned?
Most houses this size settle on weekly, and fortnightly works where the house is tidy between visits. What rarely works is monthly: by the fourth week the visit is a deep clean again and it costs more than the two visits it replaced.
Can you do the same day and time every week?
Yes, and we prefer it. A fixed slot with the same team is how a cleaner learns a house — which key is stiff, which floor takes what, which room is the baby asleep in. N16 is close enough to our base that we can hold that slot reliably.
How long will a wool carpet take to dry?
Four to six hours with the windows open, longer in damp weather, and we say so before we start. Anyone promising an hour on wool is either using too little water to clean it or is guessing.
Do you clean sofas as well as carpets?
Yes. We test a hidden panel first every time, because fabric that looks like a hard-wearing weave can be viscose, and viscose marks with water alone. If a sofa should not be wet-cleaned we will tell you rather than risk it.
